CASE STUDY

Skadi

I helped Skadi Limited forge new connections by launching their podcast, facilitating insightful conversations with industry experts, and amplifying their expertise to a wider audience through engaging content.

About the Project

When I started working with Skadi, we aimed to create a simple yet effective strategy to document financial market movements and provide insights for financial investigators. We envisioned a podcast featuring industry experts, regulators, and investigators, fostering discussions on trends, compliance, and financial crime tactics.

We launched just before the pandemic, quickly adapting to remote production via Zoom to maintain quality and relevance. The podcast thrived, addressing real-time shifts in the financial landscape.

Skadi continues the podcast today. I still support their content strategy and trained their in-house editor, ensuring consistent production. It remains a key resource, strengthening industry thought leadership.

"Cam introduced SKADI to podcasting. At the time we were weighing up where best to allocate our limited resources to marketing. Coincident with this decision, COVID-19 arrived and we were thrust into a world where connecting with customers changed rapidly. We lost the ability to meet face to face. With Cam's support we began our podcasting journey. Cam opened our eyes to the follow on impact of extracts from our podcasting, his team turning soundbites into short shareable segments which were then used to good effect on Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter (now X) and Instagram. For a small business in a niche industry dominated by large incumbent firms, podcasting allowed us to reveal our knowledge, increase our reach into a hard to reach potential customer base, and build up a portfolio of evidential subject matter expertise. This was achieved at a budget that suited us compared with alternatives such as traditional PR, such as newspaper articles and being quoted. We have since taken forward our podcasting ourselves, experimenting with different styles, including scripted, episodic and live outside broadcasts. It was the introduction that Cam provided that set the foundation for us to grow our podcasting into a core piece of the architecture of our business. I have no hesitation in recommending Cam to others."
